Zip & Zen at Canopy Tours NW

Join yoga teacher Carol Mason of Movement Arts for a transformative zip-line experience through a stunning Pacific Northwest forest on Camano Island! You’ll begin with a brief yoga warm up followed by a meditation and discussion of Courage and Facing Fears as one of the 9 emotions in yoga (Rasa Sadhana). Then you’ll begin your Canopy Tours NW zip line adventure featuring 6 zip lines, a walk across a log bridge, 2 short trail walks and a 47-foot final descent. Your experienced guides at Canopy Tours NW provide a fun experience while sharing their knowledge of the forest and Carol is with the group from start to finish offering support and insights into facing and releasing fear by using strategies learned in Rasa Sadhana. At the end of your zip lining experience, Carol will host a short reflection and opportunity to share any thoughts or transformations with the group.

Love, Joy, Wonder, Courage, Calmness, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear. All of these emotions are at play at different times of our lives, at different times in our day. Often one emotion leads you on a path to another. Rasa Sadhana is a practice we undertake to have more choice in which emotions we experience. This is not about denying Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness, but taking steps, adopting practices in order to not linger there.

Rasas are the essence of our emotions that exist in both body and mind. Rasa Sadhana invites you to become the observer of your emotions, recognizing that they are something we experience, but they are not, ultimately, who we are.
